100 Years!

A century ago, Stamats was founded on key principles which continue to sustain our business today and carry us into the future. Welcome to our Centennial celebration.

Herbert Stamats and Frank French

Stamats Communications, Inc. traces its roots back to 1923 when it was founded as the French-Stamats Company by Herbert Stamats (left) and Frank French (right). These two individuals opened a promotion and advertising agency serving small retail stores and quickly expanded to serve other stores throughout the mid-west by providing turnkey, or syndicated, marketing programs.

Floods

Our company has suffered through two floods. The first was in 1929 and wiped out all of the company's paper stock. The second (shown here) was in 2008. We were able to save all the artwork and much of our computer hardware. We got back up and running in less than 48 hours. In both instances we built back better.
